Our Criteria to Earn a Varsity Letter at Liberty Track is " Score any amount of Team points at a Varsity Limited Entry Meet." This differs from the Previous Pandemic Years where it was mandated that all athletes on a Varsity Roster receive a Varsity Letter.

Please Review the attached list to ensure that you the point summary and list of if you earned a Varsity Letter or will be receiving a Performance Certificate at awards tonight.

If you feel there is an error or you ran on an Invitational Relay that our report may have missed, Please let me know before the wards Presentation so that I can correct this.

Our Varsity Lettering Criteria differs from many other schools around the Area and is by design. My Goal as a Head Coach by using this lettering criteria is show athletes that the natural talent and athletic ability required to score points isn’t equal in all events. Specifically, you will find that sometimes simply participating in certain events ,such as the 4X800m, 3200m, Pole Vault or Triple Jump, will earn a varsity letter by a lack of participants where being the 4th best sprinter out of 60 typically will not earn any team points.
